10-16hp Kohler K-Series Long Rod

Description

Billet CNC machined long rod for the Kohler 10-16hp K series engines. The long rod kits reduce the crank angle also reducing the side load acting on the piston. This will create a better ring seal and let wear on the piston skirts. The longer the rod will also have a longer dwell at TDC creating more cylinder pressure on the combustion stroke. The 6.250 C-C rod will be used with the OEM 12-16 hp 3.250 crank and a .750 CH piston to get a zero deck. The longer 6.4375 rod will be used with the 10hp 2.875 stroke crank and a .750 CH piston to get a zero deck.

NOTE: Depending on the bore and stroke combo the builder may need to clearance the bottom of the cylinder liner to clear the rod. The smaller bore engines with the longer stroke will require this more than the larger bore engines.
