Predator 670 505 Grind Camshaft

Description

This is a new CNC machined billet camshaft core with a new steel adjustable gear. The cam has been precision ground with more lift and duration. The 505 grind is specifically ground for governed tractor pulling engines. The 505 cam has .235 lift at the cam, a split duration with 232 degrees of duration @.050 lift on the intake lobe and 228 degrees of duration @ .050 lift on the exhaust lobe. We grind the cam on a 102 lobe separation and is degreed with 3 degrees of advance on a 99 intake center line when we install the gear.

This cam makes peak TQ at 3500-4000 rpm. The lobes have a fast acceleration rate with a square top to open the valve fast and hold it open.

Grind service, Includes grinding camshaft, hard face overlay lobes, regrind lobes, lobe polish, camshaft ends ground to size, debur and put in an engine and precision degreed in with computer equipment. $300

BUILDER NOTES: It is the engine builder’s responsibility to properly install the camshaft. This includes clearance if needed, checking spring pressure, checking coil bind, using the correct oil, checking camshaft end play and all other engine building procedures. The 508 and 509 camshafts will require valve pockets in the pistons, we recommend a min of .075 of valve to piston clearance.
